Henry Raby


Henry is a York-based performance poet, theatre-maker, playwright, workshop facilitator and associate artist of Red Ladder Theatre Company.

He’s a mainstay of York’s arts scenes and activist networks, performing at various events and co-coordinating gigs. He is administrator for the National Association of Youth Theatres, and works freelance with various youth theatres.

He’s performed across the country at various festivals, poetry events and Fringes. Recurring themes in his writing seem to be protest, friendship, home, growing up and dinosaurs. He likes punk, ska, comics, cartoons and shouting angrily at Tories.
